I am a qualified veterinary nurse, having been in the profession since 1991, originally working in Devon before taking a five-year break to focus on raising my children. During that time, I worked as a teaching assistant at a junior school - a role I loved for its energy and sense of community.

Animals have always been at the heart of my life. At home, I have a cat called Lucy and Max, our Lancashire Heeler dog. When I'm not working, you'll usually find me outdoors - horse riding, running, cycling, sea swimming or out walking.
